I was born and raised on a new housing estate just a few years after the Second World War, but there was still plenty of open countryside and farmland all around. This gave me an excellent playground in which to spend my spare time. There was never a shortage of new places to discover and explore, and with very little television and definitely no computer games there was always the time and freedom to find adventure. Work, raising a family and travelling far and wide have only added to those experiences. During my life I have lived in several different environments, in towns, in the country and by the sea, of them all I think I prefer the coast best with its ever changing outlook and often dramatic weather. I have also lived for a while in Turkey and Spain. Both reading and writing have always been a great passion of mine, and now, with more free time on my hands I am able to put some of my own experiences in to words.
